About me

Aruna is an experienced Electro/Mechanical Engineering professional with 15 years in the hotel industry across Asia and the Middle East, specializing in hotel maintenance, operations, and project management. He has held various leadership positions, including Director of Engineering at Dusit International and Jumeirah Vittaveli, overseeing pre-opening projects and managing large teams. His expertise includes energy management, M&E design, and implementing maintenance software, alongside a strong focus on compliance with safety standards and sustainable practices. Aruna holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and is currently pursuing an MBA in project management. He is an Associate Member of the Institute of Engineers of Sri Lanka and a Corporate Member of the Sri Lanka Energy Management Association. His core competencies include project management, operations management, and energy efficiency, with a proven track record in executing successful hotel projects and refurbishments.
