About me
Khamis is a creative chef from Zanzibar, Tanzania, with extensive experience in various culinary roles across multiple 4 and 5-star resorts. Currently serving as a Sous-Chef at Tagidor Garden & Spa since September 2023, he has previously held positions such as Executive Chef at CASA PARADISE and MARAFIKI BEACH RESORT, and Chef de Partie at Zanzibar White Sand Luxury Villas and Spa. Khamis is recognized for his culinary expertise, innovative recipe development, and ability to manage kitchen staff effectively while ensuring adherence to food safety guidelines. He holds a certificate in Food Production from the Zanzibar Institute of Tourism Development and is HACCP certified. Khamis possesses strong skills in menu planning, budgeting, and inventory management, along with excellent communication abilities. Fluent in both English and Swahili, he is dedicated to providing healthy culinary options and has a keen interest in music, cuisine, and culture.
