Deviraj Pilly Pottiah is an experienced Executive Sous Chef from Mauritius, currently working at The Westin Turtle Bay Resort and Spa since 2018. He has a strong background in culinary management, demonstrating leadership skills by acting as Executive Chef for five months and implementing innovative concepts such as Pan Asian and Japanese cuisine. His responsibilities include menu planning, food quality control, kitchen organization, staff management, inventory management, cost control, and ensuring health and safety compliance. Previously, Deviraj held positions at Maritim Resort and Spa and Intercontinental Resort Balaclava Fort, where he contributed to menu development and enhanced customer satisfaction, achieving recognition on TripAdvisor. He has a solid foundation in various cuisines, including Mauritian and fusion gastronomy, supported by numerous certifications in service excellence and training. His career objective is to further his culinary expertise and become an Executive Chef, aiming for a position as an EAM within the next five years.
