About me
Abdulhamid is an IT professional with experience in climate change advocacy, community outreach, and environmental project management. Currently serving as an IT Officer and Project Contributor for the Zanzibar Climate Change Alliance (ZACCA), he has played a pivotal role in maintaining ZACCA’s website, organizing community workshops, and collaborating on environmental sustainability strategies. Abdulhamid also contributes to the Mangrove Restoration Project, focusing on ecological awareness and conservation practices.
He holds a Diploma and Certificate in Information Technology from The State University of Zanzibar (SUZA), complemented by a Certificate in Computer Applications from Melisha Vocational Training Centre. He has technical skills in programming (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Python, Java, MySQL, PHP) and graphic design (Photoshop, Illustrator), along with experience in project management, including strategic planning and budgeting. Fluent in Swahili and English, Abdulhamid combines excellent interpersonal and community engagement skills with a passion for leveraging technology to address local challenges.
