About me

Esiabia James Mbeya is a Kenyan professional with extensive experience in reservations, revenue management, and customer service within the 5-star hotel sector. From August 2020 and currently, he works as an Assistant Revenue and Reservations Manager at Zulal Wellness Resort by Chiva-Som. His responsibilities include managing reservations operations, staff recruitment and training, revenue opportunities, administration, and channel management.

Mbeya has also worked at Banana Island Resort by Anantara, Marriott International, Jumeirah Group, and Barclays Bank of Kenya. At these companies, he held varying positions that added to his skills in sales, reservations, shift leadership, customer advising, and direct sales representation. His other skills include conflict resolution, data origination and entry, leadership, and adaptability.

He obtained a diploma in Sales & Marketing and Graphic Design Arts from The Kenya Polytechnic University. His training includes Microsoft Office, Opera, Marsha, Barclays’ Selling Techniques, and Red Cross’ First Aid. Mbeya’s interests include drawing, painting, sports, community-focused social work, and adaptability to new environments.
