About me
Rayyan Bakar Omar is a Tanzanian statistician born on May 11, 1999. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Official Statistics from the Eastern Africa Statistical Training Center, achieving a cumulative GPA of 4.3. Rayyan is fluent in both English and Swahili and has a strong background in statistical analysis, data modeling, and data visualization. She has experience in using various statistical tools and software, including MS Excel, SPSS, and R, which she applied during her practical training at the Office of Chief Government Statistician in Pemba, where she was involved in data collection and analysis for both industrial and employment surveys. In addition to her academic qualifications, Rayyan’s research work includes a report on the impact of corporate income tax on economic growth in Zanzibar. She is committed to delivering accurate insights and thrives in dynamic environments, making her well-equipped for roles that require critical data analysis and evaluation. Her referees include several assistant lecturers from EASTC who can attest to her skills and work ethic.
