We are seeking an experienced HR leader to join a prestigious luxury resort in Zanzibar as it prepares to open under a renowned global hotel collection. This pivotal role involves spearheading all HR functions from the ground up to ensure a smooth and compliant launch.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver recruitment aligned with approved staffing plans and budgets.
• Establish and maintain employment documentation and HR policies.
• Maintain thorough personnel records and support statutory registrations, including expatriate work permits.
• Coordinate payroll inputs and oversee staff welfare, accommodation, and onboarding.
• Support departmental training initiatives and foster a service-driven workplace culture.
• Ensure compliance with all Zanzibar employment laws and regulations.

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum five years of hospitality HR experience with managerial responsibilities.
• Preferably experience in pre-opening hotel HR and managing volume recruitment.
• Strong skills in HR administration and employee relations.
• Recognised HR qualification.
• Fluent in both English and Swahili.
